It is just one of those things in life. Everybody must just get over it. It is like the SA Cricket team in World Cups. Always one of the favourites but never a winner. With the Cup being played in NZ this must be their best chance, BUT ..........

Perhaps History is known to repeat itself but History is also rewritten. The AB’s on paper seem the complete team, they showed on their Grand Slam Tour in the End of Season that not only can they score at will; they have none of defensive frailties of the other contenders. With Home ground advantage and a desire to win and to get the monkey off their back, it is very difficult to see them not lifting the Webb Ellis this time around.

Dont count on it though.. it looked like a certain thing last time. Lets face it, there were 4 mediocre teams in the semis, then 2 boring sides in the final, at least the kick and hope tactics will be less effective?

Why is that you may ask... Well, after the comp. they are left standing and seen as the top two teams, that being said, you don't expect of a top team to have a defensive laps do you? So how do you break the defense? I leave it up to you to figure that one out...

I am a very big BOK supporter, but think the ALL BLACKS will take it.if they loose it will only be against themselves. They play amazing rugby. If they slip i feel sorry for them. They are a great rugby nation.Like INDIA in cricket,it would mean alot for their country to win it.They are under huge pressure.I hope the BOKS meet them in the final.

I totally agree with you, Joburgjohnny. This is not only because I myself am a Kiwi, but there's the facts behind it. The only competition I can see is the Aussies and the English. The Aussies because they unfortunately thrashed us in the final of the Tri Nations and I don't see them getting any weaker with teams in their pool like Italy, Russia and the USA. Also the English, because so many people under rate them, they do so well. They have no huge pressures on their shoulders like NZ and Aus. Let's also remember that they reached the grand final in 2007 against the eventual winners South Africa. Anyway, that doesn't matter, the only thing that does matter is that the All Blacks kick butt on their home turf, which they are expected to do, and I believe in them to do so.

Anyone that knows their rugby knows that the ABs deserve to be favourites, and after their demolition of France, England's average form, and OZs fall from grace at the hands of the Irish, they deserve to be very big favourites at that. BUT does that mean they will win it??? Who knows?? we have seen it all too many times before and unfortunately the ABs havent come out on top. However IMO they will win this one, it is very hard to get a gauge on the other big nations during pool play, but for me the two teams that stand in the way of the ABs are the SA's and the OZ's and luckily for us we will only have to take on one of them. A final between the English and the ABs would be a good one but I cant see the English beating us at home. They did it before the 2003 world cup but the English were a much much stronger team back then and the ABs a re a better team now. GO ABS!!
